Twin kit progress pics.

The numbers with the vortech s-trim at 14 psi was 525/480 at 5200 with a much bigger cam. With this motor I wanted it more street friendly, so I opted for a smaller cam, 530 lift, which Job Jr. said is killing my power. However with the turbos, it made 550/590 at 4500 and carried all the way to 5800. We ran the motor to 6000 rpms on multiple pulls, but a rocker fell off and I had we had to shut it down. Simple fix and 30 minutes later we were back in business. I need to install longer rocker studs this week, and then Ill have it at the track with 116 and 20 psi give or take a few for some timeslips. The block is an A-4 block with all forged internals, I too was hoping for high numbers, actually I was planning on it. Spetter told me to install my crank trigger, ditch the thermostat, and add some race fuel to it and it should put down a lot more...like 700+

Remeber guys, these 61mm turbos dont wake up until they hit 20psi...I have barely brushed the surface, its now a challenge to see how much boost it can handle. 15 psi is the street friendly number on 94 octane gas, 17 ish pushing it...I have no doubt it will make 700 with some higher octane and 20psi.

So let me get this straight....Groverdill made 540rwhp on 14psi, 165 heads and a stock bottom end, I assume. The totally built motor TT setup made 49x on 13psi. If you just wanted a street tune and to run on 93 octane.....would it even be worth it to build a TT car since 116octane is needed for 20psi and to make big numbers.??

Holy sh@t!! I havent thought about that since gas went through the roof!! How much is that sh@t now? I know it used to be 6bucks a gallon before the gas hick.

Groverdills motor made nice hp, but u didnt mention tq. His peak power was made at 5800, where mine was at 4500. You must be new at this if you dont recognize the potential for easy gains. My motor hasnt even begun to wake up yet. By adding 2 psi it went from 495hp/533tq at 4500 rpms to 550hp/590tq at 4500 rpms and carried all the way to 5800. Thats 60 hp for 2 psi. Typically a motor should make 20hp per psi. A single 61mm turbo is good for 680 fwhp(520 rwhp), and my motor has been built to handle 1000hp, but your not going to see that on pump gas with such little cubes. This calls for race fuel and more boost. Groverdills S-trim is almost maxed out at 14psi, on the other hand, at 14 psi, my turbos are have barely began to spin. I can post a compressor map of a 61mm turbo, and if you translate it correctly, you will see that they are most effiecient at 20-25psi. Make sense?
So if they dyno graph im looking at is accurate(which it is), at 20psi, ill be over the 700 rwhp mark, which translates into 900+fwhp. Which is a 9 sec pass.

when are you going to e-town? I wanna go so let me know!!How much was that block?what kind of crank are you using and how much was it?
Im going to e-town next week with MM+FF for a race day and photo shoot. The block isnt made anymore and usually runs for 1400, new or used. Scat forged crank, it was 490.

And the price of race fuel hasnt changed, there is no demand for it.
