Two questions

Will a 351 bored to a 427...
I'm not trying to nitpick, but I thought you might want to know the correct terminology: "stroked", i.e. "a 351 stroked to a 427". Anyway, special swap headers will be necessary, and changing plugs will be a hassle and a half (I've heard). As an alternative, you might consider a 302 stroked to 347, which will still make killer power.

Hope this helps.

351C no (not without changing front suspension so you can notch the shock towers), 351W yes with special headers

Just a minor correction. Both the 351c and the 351w will bolt into a 65-6 engine bay. Stroking it to 427 has no impact on the physical size of the motor. Both require special headers and the 351c requires 64 falcon motor mounts.

With regard to power potential, you really haven't supplied enough information for a WAG even. I have a 408 stroker and I put down 394 at the rear tire (about 500 at the flywheel) with a mild build.

Thing is I might have a deal for a 351, thast why i'm asking...sorry about the stroked/bored part (or whichever one it is :D ) So what could be the smallest engnie i could put in to my car to say beat a stock modern 4.6 liter?

what kinda of 4.6L there are several varients SOHC / DOHC for one and year wise they changed my 99 SVT Cobra is a 32v DOHC 4.6L and has been completely rebuilt internally and has about every imaginable bolt on the car for performence, but anyways you wouldnt run into to many of them.

A properly hot rodded 289 could do it.
