two step

hey thanks, i checked out that mallory box. But it doesnt seem to have a two step function.

I have that box on my car, all you have to do is add a button to the wire coming off the box and then connect the other side of the button to a 12v source. The Mallory box you just set the rpm on the box, no chips to worry about. I use it to build boost on the line with my turbo car.

Stage up, hold the button down and put the pedal to the floor.:nice:

when i was rebuilding the car, i took out the factory rev limiter because it was junk and didnt work. Now that im driving the car i figured i need a rev limiter to be safe. I saw that box with a two step and figured why not

You just think you did, the 6250 rev limiter is controlled through the computer.

"the fuel cut limiters at 7000rpm you're seeing are the failsafe/backup to the "soft" 6250 stock rev limiter. The stock rev limiter is in a pip rate scalar which is set to 961 by default. It limits the operating speed to that minimum rate per engine cycle (two crank revolutions). If it's sampled less than that per cycle then it limits RPM. So when you want to raise your stock rev limiter you lower that pip value."

Hope that helps.
