As I' getting more comfortable with my 2.3 Turbo Mustang II, I started laying some rubber today working on launch techniques for my first trip to the track this Friday. I noticed that I had 2 paths of rubber, but I was pretty certain that I had an 8" rear with 3.40:1 gears (so says the door tag). I know it's not uncommon for there to be different parts in these cars than what came from the factory considering how old they are, but what are the chances that I laid 2 rubber tracks with an open?
Isn't there a trick to rotating the tires with both rear's off the ground? Like if one spins one way and the other the opposite way then you have an open? I'm going to try this so I can confirm.
It was incredibly solid while I was spinning the tires too.
P.S. I'm working on my launch so I don't spin the tires at the launch, just right before. Spinning tires never got anyone very far very fast
