Typhoon intake manifold Installed..

Well i got Professional Products to ship me out a NEW intake manifold. They 1st one i got was crap and didnt seal with a ****.. SO.. I get the new and and installed it the other day in 1hour and 35mins.. (not bad time) And it started right up..
OK Now I am wondering, Sometimes and only sometimes will the car SEEMED like it lost some of the low end from like 1500-3000rpm then at 3000 it just screams.. Then at other times, it will be like FULL power from 2000-6000rpm.. I dont know what could be wrong.. It was 100% with the stock intake, and i have notice better power, but its kinda off and on.. is it just the POS manifold??

not sure why you would have full power sometimes and then bog out some times. Maybe try cleaning the MAF again. Probably need to have it dyno tuned now. My car does that all the time. Thats good you noticed a power difference with it, you may lose some bottom end just because of how the manifold is designed with running length and all.

Andy

Well thank you andy.. you seem to have great hands on know-how about these mustangs, and how they work.. we should hang out sometime and perform some Mods to our cars to show some local retards whats up.. I see you live in Auburn? Well maybe we can meet up at the Supermall Cuz you know its friday and all the little ricers come out to play... :rlaugh:

the Typhoon has shown me power losses on the dyno 3 times on 3 different combos. It lost area under the curve each time and dropped 10hp/26lbs average on the worst of them.

Well I may be a retard, but i KNOW it pulls harder after 3grand.. if i lost power than, i might as well sell that manifold and be a man and buy a nice one lol.. but i think its something dumb.. i think its more of driving it more and maybe double checkin everything.. maybe pullin the spark plugs and checkin them out.. you just never know untill you tear into it..

Andy- thats tight dude.. your car has always been just a handling machine.. you know cuz mustangs cant hang with STi's in the twisties.. no way.. :rlaugh: :bs: V8's cant hang.... should have bought a terd-cel or something...:bang: hahaha

After having to take out all the springs last night it really makes me miss those sport lines. lol the sport lines would just about fall out when you lowered the control arms. These ones you gotta stand on the control arm o make it come out.

The typhoon is junk. You should have got a refund. The PI intake is a good intake. These aftermarket intake are for when you have FI and need the extra airflow. For a bolton car the PI works great and is hard to beat. My car made 600rwhp with the stock PI intake.

ok, what you have is failure to comumicate. what's probably happening is: the A/F ratios in one bank or the other is off a little. the PCM will try over and over to get it right. on again and off again. a tune will fix it, but it will never fix HP/TQ losses from that intake when it gets heat soaked.

We'll see how long mine lasts :rlaugh: . I have the OLD intake with plastic crossover, and I boost 9lbs almost every day. It's bound to crack sooner or later.

 mine blew at the track before i got the s/c, i missed 3rd gear and hit the rev limiter *BAM* steam was coming out of my shifter boot and when i got back to the parking lot I had coolant leaking everywhere

The sad part is the camaro behind me on slicks hit some of the coolant that spilled out, spun and hit a wall. Oh well thats what happens when you risk running slicks...there was nothing i could have done about it
