Okay, update.... Idle is 10 times better. That little restrictor plate must have helped, or it was the changing of the lower intake. Still surges like always going down hill, when loaded up in a lower gear, but hey, I'll take the new idle any day.
Still running warm. I've replaced everything and I think the running warm started back with the reman. water pump. Just didn't know it cause it was cold outside. Not sure if I should take it back and get another, or try a higher flowing pump. Anyone tried one?
Eh...dunno about the waterpump thing. The pulley/shaft both look "stable" while the car is running? I'd think that as long as it's not "broken", it would cool correctly...anyone else?
I still suspsect the old radiator though. Mine runs so much cooler with the stock replacement radiator in.
LOL - guess that's in another post.... I just put a stock replacement radiator in the car, installed my tranny cooler, and put in a new 180* t-stat, as well as the new coolant sensors, new coolant 50/50 mix.
Still does the EXACT same thing on the guage. Either the guage is bad, or the water pump is.
