uh oh intake manifold installation srew up :(

I have only the basic mechanic skills and over the last weekend I installed a new intake manifold (Performer RPM II) Now I am all done and the motor is running great however I just realized that I forgot to install the PVC baffle on the bottom of the lower intake manifold. How important is that step? I mean, should I immediately reinstall the manifold or can I still run the pvc without the baffle or should I just pull the pvc pipe out of the hole and let it suck clean air. Will this effect power or longevity? Thanks for any help, I feel so stupid

gotta take the intake off again and install it. your going to be sucking up oil through the intake. Sorry but thats the deal.

Yeah, without it you'll suck up about a quart of oil every three days......... Don't ask how I know this.......

I'm glad I'm not the only dumbass who has done this I didn't feel like pulling the intake though, so I blocked off the PCV passage and ran a breather cap. Definitely not the smartest idea in the world, but sometimes ya just don't give a shiit ya know?

EDIT: This wasn't on the 327 stroker, this was on a high mile stock engine that I don't give a rats ass about.
