Ok so im a little anal about my engine being clean.. What exactly does the hood shroud thingy do...?? I know its probly the dumbest question thats been asked in a while ! But humor me guys/girls! Thanks:rlaugh:

I thought it was there to reduce NVH and smother an engine fire:shrug:

Correct. The plastic push pins melt and the cover drops to smother an engine fire.

I remove them from all of my Mustangs. I don't mind the extra engine noise (all the better to hear the supercharger whine!). Some cars get better paint under the hood than others, but most look fine without the hood blanket.
