underdrive pulleys from BBK or Steeda I think.

Do you guys have problems Charging with AOD w/ Pulleys ?

Well the Battery Light came on last nite.. for a few sec. then back off.

It was coming ON at Idle- Stop lights.. Factory Gauge is reading where it always does.

The battery is only 6-7 months old... Last battery had a bad cell inside.. wouldn't recharge.

Local Battery shop checked to many sure it was recharge at Idle, and in Drive. [With the last battery' few days later stoped wouldn't work.]

Think the Pulleys and AOD are killing my Batterys? upgrade ?

Cars only got 74k miles. 3:73 gears/ full exhaust , 1.7 rockers-

AOD- Pulleys = Problems for you too ?

well the aod does have tall ratio gears but with the 373's that shouldnt be a problem while cruising...........most likely it's just the underdrive pulleys doing it, it's pretty common, alot of people don't like them because in addition to that they can slow down your ac at idle and also your water pump. when i got my car the guy told me it had them at one time but he took them off and put the stock ones back on........yours is a 93, not sure what alternator yours has.........did you just install them and start having this problem or is it a new thing it's just doing or has it always done this?

Pulleys have been on car we got in back in 2000- it had 43k miles back then..

The battery that was in car when we got it lasted till last year... no problems..

I got alittle bigger battery when what Stock Spec. calls for.
Light just poped on for the first time Sat nite. [was at stop light. ]

Yes it's has Stock Size Alt. [same one when we got in 2000']

i'm going to check it over to many sure everything is tight..

140 or 200 amp upgrade ?

I think your problems lie elsewhere. If you battery is being charged and the gauge reads like it normally does, you may have an alternator problem.

I would bring it to an AutoZone type place and have them put a load tester on the charging system -- takes just a few minutes and they're pretty good about telling you what's going on.

Well I had it checked last year.. at Battery Wholesale

Checked it when it was in Park and In Drive. [They said it was charging Fine]
Next day or two it was died.

So i got new battery.. Never Changed alt. ! 6-7 months have went by now..

and we are back to same problem.

I'm going to have to check the Alt. wiring etc...

And i'll run it to Auozone or the last place i took it.

If that doesnt work then just look into upgrading the alternator cause like it was said before the stocker just doesnt work well after you start putting more load on it....

I think i fixed the problem I had.

Battery turned out to be 100% fine.

So i started to check some of the wires etc.

I found a bad connection behind the Alt. turns out the last owner, had a Volt gauge on there before.

It was a snap type wire hookup- Half the wires was cut :bang:
that's why the battery light would pop on when going over bumps or rail road tracks..

I was tried to get the light to come back on after fixing the wiring problem.
was runnng Heat blower[ on high] Lights.. radio .

and battery light never poped back on .. So happy !!
