underdrive pullies on an 01 cobra???

i would appreciate any response i get i just purchased a 01 triple black convert. cobra and was given a set of bbk underdrive pullies then someone told me that these were a bad idea on an 01 cobra is this true or false they were free so i was thinking what the heck...

It is true. They are a bad idea and not worth the trouble they have caused.

Our balancers arent that great and the pullies+not so great balancers and vibrations= damaged oil pum gears and motor fails.

You can get 10 hp elsewhere thats safer

I had Steeda underdrive pullies on my 01 for 3 years with no problems, but I have only heard bad things about BBK ones. Don't use them.

I have heard and read from top engine builders bad things about all UDP's

i have steeda ones on mine and within the first week the belt shredded, i took it too a shop and they said everything was fine (all pulleys were alligned correctly) and the just put on a new belt. when the car is running i love them, i live in the south and you pretty much have to run your ac 8-9 months out of the year and i noticed less drag on the motor when the ac was on
