its my pickup in question here (85 f150 4x4) the drivers side outer front brake pad has wore 2 times as fast as the rest of the front brake pads, it is almost down to the backing plate... also one of the tabs that hookes into the caliper is bent inwards and rubbing on the rotor....
what causes uneven wear on brake pads and why would that one pad be all bent to snot?????

Gotta be from uneven caliper pressure. Do those things have a proportioning valve? Bent up????? Must have been in a bind at sometime and was partially froze up when it popped loose. Is the thing pulling to one side greater than any other?
