Well hurricane Sandy claimed my Mustang and well as my wife's 9 month old Flex. We moved the cars to what is normally high ground in my area , but it was not high enough. As much as it sucks I can't really be pissed. My family is safe , my house other then a flooded basement is fine, alot of people here in Long Beach, NY lost thier homes . Some people is nearby communties lost their lives. Whats scary is that this was a catagory 1 storm, Katrina was a 5, I can't imagine what the people in NOLA went through. so I really have no complaints.
I'm on a friends computer, I have no idea when I will have internet access at home, I will try to put some pics up when I can.
Later!

The important thing is you are safe, and didn't lose anything not easily replaceable. Hopefully it wasn't a finished basement.

For the record, though, Katrina was a 3 at landfall. This storm wasn't really a hurricane...it was more of a freak hurricane/nor-easter hybrid. Ironically, an actual hurricane may have done less damage. It had the winds of a category 1 hurricane, but the pressure of a category 3-4. It was also enormous compared to a hurricane. As it was making landfall, the high outer cirrus clouds associated with it were overspreading the skies here in Wisconsin. Coastline geography also makes the NYC area particularly vulnerable to storm surges from storms that make landfall in the locations and manner Sandy did.

Sorry...that's probably more than you wanted to hear. I majored in meteorology, so I have a tendency to ramble on such topics.
