okay guys, got the worse possible outcome after i tore the block down. i posted earlier about what happened, and how one cylinder wasnt making compression, and how the valves on the head, ect were working. Took the heads off, tore the engine down, to find that the block is cracked, and the piston fused to the cylinder head. So now obviously the block is done, and the heads are dead as well. Now i need to find an engine or build one up. I was thinking about the crate engine from ford racing. http://www.fordracingparts.com/crateengine/302smallblock.asp
The 5.0 L, 345 hp, 310 trq version. I have some questions though about how well it work work with what i have.
1) Can I reuse my Edelbrock RPM intake, Street Deamon Carb (650), Hooker LT headers, exaust, and ignition components?
2) What parts will i have to purchase that are needed for this swap?
3) Will the engine fit comfortably?
I have some more questions, but i have to go to work. Thanks for any help guys.
