Update on 03 Cobra Front Bumper

All I can say is that it will require quite a bit of modifications to get it to fit. I'm still not done mounting mine correctly, primarly because i'm trying to finish the rest of the car...but here is a front shot of the bumper.

It will require that you cut it. When I had the R bumper, that thing fit like a glove...but this one....is nothing like it.

BTW...the center looks to curve up...simply because I don't have it braced yet. This bumper comes with 2 bolts molded in that needs you to brace it to the radiator support. This will fix tha curving issue. But the main issues are where the bumper mounts to the fender. You need to cut material off the bumper PLUS trim down the bumper bracket to get that flush look.

man, you made that sucker fit well, gabe--nice job!

my bumper fit great, but i did have to sand off a little on the piece that the bracket fit under--it was a little too thick. i also had to cut about 1/4" off the bracket itself to make the bumper tuck in closer to the fender. i guess unless you get it from ford or maybe cervini's, it's gonna take some modification.

The bumpers will be available in May, from the site's knowledge. They WILL be urethane. The original plan was fiberglass only, with another company, but then someone contacted ABC and they agreed on urethane. The picture above is a Caldwell Classic Chop with my car....this might help ya a bit! :nice:

I'd love to see this pic chopped to include Saleen-style side skirts...

Has anybody else installed this 03 Cobra style bumper on 94-98 Stangs? I like what I see so Far!

yeah, there was a guy in the 5.0 mag that did it on a black 95. It was in the April issue of 5.0 mustang and superfords mag. Page 150. But, he also fabbed the front fenders to fit the 99-04 lights. It looks clean. I couldn't tell it was a 95 until I read through the article.
