Has anyone tried to swap-out the original tach of a 1965 Rally Pac with an aftermarket Tach, while keeping the "original" appearance of the Rally Pac ? Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Yes you can as I did it with the clock, you have to modify or make the internal bracket, I replaced the clock with a boost gauge, but had a guy try to steel it at a car show so I took it out.

I dont think you will ever get a 3-3/8 gauge in a ralley pack. I used a 2 inch gauge, you can go a little larger, then I used the original face plate with a piece of black plastic around the front to cover the hole opening that the gauge didnt cover, you cant really see it because its black. make little brackets that you can bolt to the gauge and then use the 2 screw holes in the ralley pack for a tight fit.
It looked original till someone noticed the boost gauge instead of a clock.
