ok here's the ?. I bought an SN95 rear disc kit for my 88lx. Also I bought 03 cobra brakes for the front. I bought drilled and sloted rotors front and rear for the cobra. Now to use the 11.65 rotor on the rear do I just need to buy the cobra caliper, or is the same caliper as the gt and they use a bracket to space it bigger. I can't find a bracket online anywhere to buy. Is the backing plate different? I really at a loss and I want to use the 11.65 rear. any help would be great thanks

you are going to need the brackets that mount to the axle housing.these are cobra specific i thinkk the calipers and brackets are the same but the pads are diffrent.

the cobra rear calipers are slightly different that the GT ones. The caliper bracket is more beefy to handle the extra torque from the larger diameter rotor. But there are plenty of people running GT calipers without a problem. I hear they need to be grinded a bit to fit though.

Dont forget the Anti-Moan Bracket/Brace also, as it is different too.

Might be a better deal to buy the FRPP M2300M Cobra rear disc conversion kit from Ford. It has the backing plates, splash plates, anti-moan brackets, and two new rotors. Then just sell the rotors by themselves to recover some $$$$. The kit runs like $180. Just something to compare the individual prices to. Most likely the individual prices for the backing plates and anti moans will be over $200.

Good luck!
