UPR C/C plate installation question.

The directions for the c/c plate installation says to put the large spacer on the strut, under the plate, and the med. and small spacer above the plate. This will cause the strut shaft to be riding directly on the c/c plate bearing. Should the rubber bushing on the stock strut be against the bottom of the plate, like the oem mounts? I have lowered the front approx. 2 inches, and need to put the spacers above the plate to increase strut travel. The small spacer will sit below the rubber bushing at the top of the strut, and the strut will be against the bottom of the c/c plate. Is this OK?

I'm going to ask the question again, but reword it slightly, since I have gotten no responses yet. The Maximum Motorsport c/c plate installation instuctions says to "seperate the dust boot tube from the rubber/steel top mount. Discard the rubber/steel top mount, but save the dust tube." I can see that if the "top mount" is removed from the strut I can then put a smaller spacer below the c/c bearing. The M/M instuctions go on to say to remove the OEM bump stop. Then use theirs to be a replacement and attach the oem dust boot to it. If this is the case then why doesn't UPR, Steeda, and others provide a new bumpstop? What have you guys done to get the OEM struts to increase there travel length, after removing the rubber/steel top mount? I've got the "Shark" plates installed, but with the current setup (large spacer under the bearing, medium spacer above), I have not been able to increase my strut travel.
