hey whats up guys..i bought the upr x-pipe on friday to match my slp loudmouth..but ran into a small problem..me and my friend jacked up the car and removed the first 4 bolts..(2 on each side) that connect the stock h-pipe to the exhaust..then we had 4 more bolts to work with...the 4 that connect the stock h-pipe to the headers..well we removed the 1st one on the passenger side..but the one where you need a special type of swivel to even access it..well, we stripped that bolt, im sure you guys know the bolt im talking about..took it tok a shop with a list and after changing my oil, they said they would put on the x-pipe for $25 dollars..well, they couldnt get the stripped bolt loose..its not even that stripped..it looks like it is still good..they said the only way to get the bolt out is to torch it out, but they will have to remove the starter box and some ignition wires...is this my only option?to remove the stripped bolt and stock h and put on my new upr they quoted me $90..is it worth it guys? they said they cant get a air-gun up in that tight space....my questions are

1. is their some type of socket made especially for strippled bolts that will grab that bolt?
2. cant i frickin drill that sucker out????
3. what do you guys recommend, i want my x-pipe on!!!

thanks for the great advice guys..kboy that is a very interesting idea..its sad that mechanics at a frickin auto repair shop cant even think of that crap..once you jam the socket into the nut..it will become part of the stripped bolt and then all you have to do is remove the socket with the right wrench?? also i'll pick up a bottle of pb blaster...is paying $90 wayyy too much??

I believe the correct size is around a 18mm or 17mm. I should remember since I changed it so many d*** times. Not sure how much PB blaster is. I do know that it suppose to do wonders. Me I was cheap and used a $3 can of wd-40.

PB Blaster is about the same price and is right next to the WD-40 at Walmart.

The socket size is 18mm...I bought it special for the install of my pipe. (I've done it twice now and can do it in under an hour).
