Snap out of it man! No one gets into it for their buddies, they do it out of pride of ownership and you have had that for a long time now. Now, if the pride, fun, staisfaction, excitement is all gone, then you will know that you are done with it.

With the exception of financial, halth or marital hardships, when someone calls it quits, it's because the car represents more hassle than enjoyment. It's usually because the car is either modded to the moon or so wack that the owner just can't enjoy the car for all the tuning/driveability/reliability issues and they are sick of spending more time under the hood than behind the wheel. Take it for another drive and look at it in your driveway and think hard about if you would be happier without the car.

I HAVE had the pride of ownership since I bought it new in 3/94. I only started doing the mods after I started hooking up with all these guys, mainly b/c they helped do a lot of stuff and I didnt have to depend on the damn shops anymore. We use to call each other all the time and talk about what was going on with the cars and if each other needed help.

I dont think I ever said above that I was gonna get rid of it or take it apart, just wanted to express my frustration.

JASON: If I ship those, it will cost about $50 per rim....there goes all the profit of the sale...The person who buys them would have to be able to pick them up from me.

GOTTA GO DO A 12-hr SHIFT NOW WITH ALL THE GRIPING CUSTOMERS!

I do see where you're coming from RC. I just hate how these cars are never done and are just big ****ing money pits. I know that they don't need to be modded but I just can't stand driving the same damn thing as everybody else. The thing I can't stand more that the same **** as everybody else is Having a POS daily driver. After highschool I sold the yellow car because I was sick of the daily POS and that's why I got the contour. It looked good and there weren't many around. When I had the chance to buy a business from my dad I jumped on it. I am glad I did it cuz now I have an 02 Ranger Edge that's chrome yellow (I just had to have another yellow car) and I got the 96 cobra. I spend way too much money on this car and sometimes I wish I didn't have it. It has ruined relationships because of my spending on it and the time I spend on it also. I just keep my self in check now and make sure I put other things first....

RC, don't get totally discouraged. You'll get that excitement again. I know what you're going through though. My car is nowhere near finished or even satisfactory right now so I don't see myself getting burned out yet. I just have a lack of funds to get it close to being finished....I doubt it will ever be FINISHED though. The fact that its my daily driver is what aggrevates me sometimes. Sometimes you just need a chance to miss it, you know? But other times I love that its my daily driver because I get to have fun in it EVERYDAY I must say, I think my car is part of the reason why I don't have a girlfriend right now because it just takes up all of my time and extra money....it still turns heads though.

I know I have not posted here in a while(not that I ever did that much anyway) and it's because I'm losing interest too. But you know what, I bought my Cobra new in 95 and lose interest or think about selling it every couple years. If your frustrated just put the car a way for a year and come back to it. Something new will come out and re-spark your interest probably before that. I was ready to sell my car this spring until I found this site. Now I've just spent about 4 grand on rims, tires, headers and other stuff. I thought that stuff would hold me over for a couple of years. I not gonna get rid of the car though. I'm just gonna put it in the garage until I'm in the mood again.

Well, I bought a $200 XMSR system, and I am not really happy with it (boom box type). So as I type, IM getting ready to return it look for a car unit that has an MP3 player...I think they have an Alpine for about $179...then I can just get the harness and do it myself. While the radio bezel is off, I can paint it (black is all faded). Maybe having some new tunes will help for now.

KEVIN...As of now, the tentative Towers date is 7/30...you got 2 weeks.

Hey man you can't go wrong with either alpine or pioneers but I would consider getting them online at ikesound.com and buying the harness's and doing it yourself. Just save the extra money you'll have. I got stuff there and was really happy with it and the service.

They didnt have the Mach Harness in stock, so I have to go to another C/C to get that piece. Im assuming that If Im able to remove the stock stereo, I can connect this (which I CAN do)
