Read an news article on the big SUVs are filling up the used car lots and values are plummeting. Obviously due to high gas prices/economy.

What are you all seeing as far as the market for these days ?

What about used Mustang GTs ??

gt's are different in that they are for the most part recreational and used on the weekends. I wouldnt get my hopes up about finding a lot full fo gas guzzling muscle cars.

I saw an article in Mustangs and Fords magazine a few years back about a guy that picked up a 1970 Boss 429 off a Ford lot in 1974 when the guy traded it in on a Pinto. Maybe I'll be able to get that GT500KR after all. :D

the prices for new edge cars are starting to fall like a brick, the 05+ are starting to fall a little as well, while it seems like the 79-98 cars are not budging, I sold my 95 4 years ago for 3500 and I cant find one in that shape for 5000 now, I dont know what the hells going on!

the gt500's etc are being bought for weekend toys, same with the older V8 cars. The newer stuff like a regular run of the mill gt will sit as most people would have used them has a daily probally. My 06 V8 explorer on the other hand, I'll have to keep it because no dealer is going to want it  + right now I don't really care.

Im a car wholesaler here in NM. Im in the process of getting a few cars ready for the auction and called them to come pick up the cars for tommaros sale, the guy down there told me if I have any big trucks or SUVs that I might aswell not send them down, people are avoiding those like a plugue. Lucky me I have two suburbans and a full size ford truck that have been sitting on the lot for over a month now.

Yea, I would say that "everyday use" gas guzzlers are dropping because people don't want low mileage vehicles. But the people in the market for a V8 "muscle car" aren't worried about mileage in the first place. Unless you find that rare, older, person who has owned their 5.0 since new and they want an econo-box, I wouldn't expect the prices to drop.

yeah, but do you have any low mileage stangs or TA's that you are willing to give away b/c they guzzle gas????
