Hoping to install a Procharger this summer. After the install, I'll probably have to back off the timing to prevent detonation.

If you would, please explain or illustrate where the timing light is directed.

THANKS!!!

you can't adjust the timing like on an older car. you have to use a programmer, chip, or timing adjuster.

If you are getting the supercharger as a kit it will come with a chip, and timing will already be backed off. If you are a hardcore do it yourselfer, I don't reccomend the programmers. At least not alone. They do not allow enough adjustment to deal with a power adder. The SCT programmer along with its pro racer package will allow you control over everything you need but it is pricey. And you will also need a wideband o2 sensor. The tweecer tuning package will allow you to tune like the pro racer package, bu is harder to use. Expect to spend $900 to $1200 to be alble to do your own tuning, otherwise, you'll have to depend on the chip that comes with the supercharger, or you will have to get a dyno tune.
