I don't like the idea of a pull cable to activate it., the GearVendors drive is only a little more money.
I agree. I would prefer an electronically engaged unit.
The unit needs to be engaged at approx. 30-40 mph. Will this limit performance?
I figure I can get a used GV unit for about 1500. I've found units for 800 used, but they would require a c4 adapter, which could run $700.
These units would most likely come out of a truck used for heavy towing, so used units might need a rebuild, which would match the new price.
I've also considered changing the 200 to a 250 and going with an AOD.

I was just going to ask... why not AOD? I guess that's why...
Perhaps someone makes an adapter bellhousing for the 200? Seems like a better option.
The AOD would be a good option, but it only bolts up to the 250 i6 from a 69+ stang. I've considered going to a 250 just to get overdrive.
