I've seen worse, sometimes, well, most times the OP does not post the resolution, they come here looking remedies and solutions mostly from a Google fu search, if lucky the member is still here and can answer, sadly mostly one hit wonders that found they left a wire off or used the wrong part and don't want to admit their problem was self inflicted.

Taking what I can get . i haven’t found any solid evidence of anyone running TFS TW 11r 170 without a spacer while running the systemax . I’m going to try and run the Holley/mr. gasket that was recommended earlier in the post . Only problem there is I’m not sure they’ll work on an 88

Here’s what hit. The boss along the center line was contacting. Like said, only 2 actually hit but I took my grinder and took down more than needed just to be sure. After grinding, need to really clean the shavings out.

With a 3/8” intake spacer, here’s my clearance.

If i slotted the throttle bracket, and eliminated the PCV connection under the plenum, probably could have gotten away with no spacer.

Did you get to leave the baffle plate in ? I’ve read about people having issues spitting oil into tb.

No. I had to leave the baffle plate out. I have not noticed oil into the TB yet, but if it becomes an issue i'll just install a small catch can.

I have the same valve covers on AFR heads and didn’t have to clearance them at all. I’m running the low profile Scorpion stud mount roller rockers. I’m also running a Cobra intake with no spacer. I had to slot the bolt holes in the throttle bracket a little so I could raise it up to clear, but that’s it.
