Valve cover fitment. Mootang get in here!

I just wanted to make sure the VC's I bought will fit under my cobra intake. They measure 3 11/16" tall. Mootang, you said you use these, did they fit under your intake just fine? It looked like a tight fit last night when I was looking. I have a 1" phenolic spacer for the intake, but I'm not sure if it will fit under the stock hood. Let me know! thanks

The 3/8" spacer made my intake hit the hood. My guess is your 1" spacer will not fit. but it's easy enough to try.

The valve covers don't hit the intake, but they will hit the EGR & IAC valve. 3/8" spacer w/ my TF short VC's worked for me.

i have the rpm II and i ground about a 1/4 inch off of the egr. and they fit perfect with no spacer on the intake.

also if your intake just barely hits the underneath of your hood you can cut a portion of the bottom layer where you need extra clearence. just don't cut into the top of the hood. there is about a half inch gap between the two layers so i managed to do it with out any problems.

Yea, this is what I did until the cobra r arrived and it worked great!!

Cool, good to know I shouldn't have to many issues. Anybody have a pic of the area of the EGR and IAC I need to grind down? I'm not real sure what you mean. Thanks!

the metal below the bottom bolt for the egr is where you grind it down. you have to grind the egr and the part where it bolts up on the intake elbow adaptor.

i also need help with my vc's!! i just installed my intake but i couldnt put the vc's on due to the passenger side hitting the alternator...i could of continued trying but it was getting late and i needed teh car to up and running by the next day....i would like to put them on though...anybody care to shine in???

Well bro, if your 1" doesn't fit PM me, i've got a GT40 3\8" spacer. Is it the darned EGR flange interfering with the VCs?

I will absolutely do that! That'd be great. I have heard (have not seen first hand as I haven't started on the buildup yet) that the bottom portion of the EGR and IAC rub against the VC's. I'll worry about that when I get to it.
