Valve job and roller rockers = 60hp ?

this guy at work was telling me to do somethin with my valves and roller rockers...
can anyone explain. he said it was in either 5.0 of MM&&FF; a shop in PA did or something?. i just never heard about ppl changing roller rockers and valves on the cobra, just heard about doing cams...? is this expensive to have done? might consider it. thanks for any info

he probably thinks you have a 5.0. there are no aftermarket rockers(followers for the 4.6 currently available. a 3 or 5 angle valve job with a good porting will get you some nice gains.

There are solid lifters for the OHC heads, and they are quite pricey (About $800 for a set of 32)...but they are really for a beefy set of cams and the power increase that you speak of comes mainly from the cams...Definately not for a street setup...

well he knew what he was talkin about i just forgot the details, he's always had mustangs.
i figured you'd get more power doing the cams with it but he was saying just the valves alone could get you power.
it's really like $800 to do it? is that with out labor? safe to say i probably wont be doing that then
i think i better just get an 03 as soon as i get a real job.

Like that thread said, you don't want them on a street car, they are very loud and they have to be adjusted from time to time...
