Right now Ive got a 94 cobra with the stock set up (not sure on the cam profile but ive got 1.7 rockers with stock springs.)
Im going to be putting in a new split duration cam ~.533/.544 and putting in some 1.6 rockers instead.)
I don't think Ill have ptv trouble because im going to the 1.6's and have relatively small valves, but how well is my car gonna take the change? I hear the 94-95 computer don't take change well or at least take advantage is that true? I just have to decide if its worth the trouble for the power ill be getting....

Milky - peak lift has no impact on p to v clearance; but duration does. The numbers you've listed above (.533/.544) are lift, not duration. Here's a link that explains the issues associated with p to v, and an easy way to measure. The only way to know if you have sufficient clearance is to measure it - nobody else's experience is gonna do you any good on your engine. Also, I believe you're gonna have to change valve springs - the stock springs may have bind issues, and they'll certainly have issues managing that lift. Check with your cam manufacturer - they'll have recommendations for which springs you should use with that cam. http://www.diyporting.com/PVC.html

I meant to say that was lift it was inferred. The duration is about 280 I can't remember exactly. Assuming I have no ptv issues will the computer accept the cam alright and take advantage of it? lobe sep is 112 I believe...

Perhaps other Cobra owners will chime in Milky and let you know their experiences with other cams and the stock Cobra ecu. Perhaps if you changed the title of your post, you could attract the Cobra crowd to the post. Also, it would help everyone if they knew any other mods to your car, and if you posted the actual specs of the cam. Hard to speculate on what impact it's gonna have when we don't know much about the cam.
