I want a vanity plate for my Saleen. I have an 04 SC281 and thought of the following:

NBR80
NBR-80
SALEEN
SC-281
281SC
281-SC
80-385
04-281SC
04-SC281
04-NBR80

Saleen tells me it's one of 380 made in 04 and one of 185 verts....for more ideas :)

Which do you like the best? I do not want a plate like BLWBYU or 2FAST or anything like that, I want it to simply state what it is, perhaps the build number (80), year, etc. For my Syclone I had 91-SY, still have it proudly on display in my garage. I am limited to 7 characters in PA

Thanks,

Sounds like some of my choices. I played off "Power in the Hands of a Few"...

Somebody already had the first one, so I got the second one... Which can have many meanings, depending on how much of a car/Saleen person you are...

Fortunately the KS plate on my '89 Saleen was the first one noted by BobV. However the members of the local Mustang club kept joking that it actually said 10 of a few. :D

when i did mine the three chioce i played with where
Saleen
Saleen2 the 2 for the year
S281SC
Saleen8 the 8 is my car number

i ended up with Saleen2 cause i did not think of Saleen8 till after i got it.

You may be right. PA may have gotten rid of the dash. My previous vanity plate had one: 91-SY (1991 Syclone). Either way, S281 SC would be fine too!

It varies state to state, I know Virginia allows you to use any combination of letters, numbers and the special characters dash, space and ampersand. Actually, Virginia has a great website to create your own plate and you know right away if it is available or not...if it is available you can reserve it or purchase it on the spot...

I don't think you can go for more than a couple mintues of driving without seeing a customized plate...they are cheap and easy to get here.
