VENT : I can't stand this shop sometimes

well i heard it running today and it was loud! but he said it wasn't running right so he had to do his best so it can run properly, he had to get the lift, duration, nad powerband for the cam, so it def will be ready tomorrow cuz it shouldn't take all day to do that even tho it has taken him 2 months to do a damn block! wtf!! thanks for everything guys and i'm goin to file a complaint anyway!

What is him getting the cam specs gonna do (besides nothing) As long as its running, set the timing to about 14*, fuel pressure to 39psi and go drive it! Let it warm up and take the rpms up and let the car coast down in gear. Break it in like in that link i sent you months ago. Then pull the upper intake and valve covers and re-torque the heads and lower intake and look for leaks! Do NOT let him do that for you or it'll be another month :rolleyes:

Could you re-post that link? I'll be rebuilding my 5.0 soon, and I'd really appreciate having a good break-in procedure. Thanks in advance.

It's not running right because it's got an ignorant camshaft in it.

Big cam + T4M0 = Not running right.

Take it out and drive it, let it stall at every stop you come to; that's the only way the processor is going to learn.

this thread is still going on.....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................I would talk to a lawyer, and do as suggested......i wouldn't even drive the car i would take it and have it dissassembled to see what was take out of it..............
