'Vert speaker questions

I was thinking of getting some Alpine type R component speakers all the way around in my NON-mach 460 car. Question is I know the front and rears are supposed to be 6x8 or 5x7 wich is the same but what else can fit in there, I was wanting some rounder speakers up front and wider ones in the back, would a 6.5 inch work in the same mount? Also how do you get to the rear speakers in the vert? Thanks i appreciate it

I am running alpine typr r component in the front and rear!!! for 6.5 to work you need to buy an adapter!!!! Just get the typr r's all the way around 5x7!!!!!!! Do you have an external amp????

just get a good 4 channel amp.. the one i am using to power those speakers is an eclipse 50 watts per channel @ 4 ohms... But any good 4 channel will work... You really want an external amp for those speakers....

you can see my eclipse amp in this pic :hail2: :hail2: :hail2:

To get to the rear speakers you need to take out the rear seat. Start by removing the bottom cushion (push in the white tabs under the front of the cushion or you can just pull up really hard like I did :bang: ). Then remove the 2 bolts from the rear backrest, and pull it up and out of the way. You will need to remove the door sills from each side, and then remove all of the push pins that hold on the rear panels.. You should be able to see the speakers from there..

It seems complicated but is very easy after you've done it 100 times.. :D
