Over the past two or three weeks i have noticed my clutch pedal getting very sloppy. There is all kinds of play in the clutch pedal at the top , it feels like its literally loose

my friend is trying to tell my my throw out bearing is bad, but i would rather poke my eyes out with a fork then replace that F'en thing again (I have long tubes)

is there any chance is my cable or firewall adjuster thats bad or broken which would cause my pedeal to be so messed up? The TOB is making no noise at all and i refuse to take the thing apart unless i absolutley have to

any help would be appreciated

could be either the quadrant ( most likely) or the cable is streching badly.

It's pretty common for the quadrant to go and cause a problem liek you are having. If you do a search on here you will find a tech article with step by step instructions of how to manually adjust the stock quadrant. at this point your quadrant might be in need of replacement but I would still go read that

My apologies I should have been more specific..i have an aftermarket UPR triple hook quadrant, double lock firewall adjuster and cable.
here is the kit i bought:

svttech and others... Just to clarify on the physical attributes of a bad TOB, wouldn't the clutch pedal feel a bit rough/crunchy? I'm pretty sure mine is going out (it was squeeling a while back) and once in a while it feels rough w/ vibrating feedback, usually after started in the morning.

svttech76, small freakin world!! I live right off rt 38 on the tewksbury line. We should meet up sometime..not sure if you ever go to picadilly pub on Sundays but its right up the street from both of us..they have a decent show there

anyways, it would make sense for it to be the cable rather than the TOB...the pedal feels fine and the TOB is making no noise what so ever
