I want to buy a vic jr for my 351w but I am a little concerned about the distributor I have. I thought since more of you guys have 351w then the 5.0L crowd I'd come to the experts. Here is my dilemma.
The edelbrock guys recommend having the 8478 part numbered dizzy from MSD. I have this 8584 part numbered dizzy it is wider then the recommended dizzy by a little over a half inch. Msd says to use PN 85805 dizzy for a 351w running a vic jr. It is 7/16 of an inch taller then the current dizzy I have but is the same width. The extra 76/16 of an inch is from the collar to the top of the cap. I'm worried that I will end up having to buy a new msd dizzy if I want to run a vic jr. I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and go see if mine works. But I'm hoping you guys can tell me one way or the other.
