victor jr intake to much for 347

Well its hard to say with out knowing more info on the cam and flow numbers of the heads. But if the the eddys were out of the box castings then the victor junior would be way more than they could ever flow but you said they have some work done on them so I would say if your cam is pretty healthy then you might consider it because you have the cubes the biggest loss with the bigger intake is you lose low end torque but you get it all back and then some in the mid and upper range. The victor junior efi manifold is very nice and it is not as much as a problem as running the carbed vic jr because the runners in the efi are still pretty long. If I were you I would also look into the trick flow r series manifold or holley system max both are very nice manifolds. the main thing is look were you cam makes its power and choose the intake that matches that range.

After my experience with a Victor 5.0 on a 302, you should go with a SuperVictor 8.2 for that 347

Well I would assume the combo is pretty healthy since you are using a 42# inj, hopefully you have a tuner because they are going to dumo way too much fuel down low. I use the Victor 5.0 all the time on healthy 347's, 10.5:1comp+, properly cammed they work very well. If you find it lacks a little down low you can add a 1" spacer to move the power band around...you'd be surprise what 1" of runner length does.
