Went down to PIR last sat and took a few vids of Nickels runs. They arnt great (off a Cannon PowerShot A85) but I wanted to play around with them in a good editing program. So what are some suggestions for a good 'free' program? Who uses what?

if you want free, use windows movie editor,, but if you want a good one, use Premiere

Premiere has a really steep learning curve, but produces excellent results. For most amateur vids, I would say windows movie maker will work just fine. You can mix music in there, do cuts and stuff, and its pretty straightforward stuff. And it comes with windows!

I vote for Studio 9. It's relitively cheap and easy to use.

Agreed! I just picked up Pinnacle Sudio Plus. I like it. I just wish it could import .mov and .wmv files.

I am still learning to use it.
