Vortech & ac line questions

Well the ac line is pretty much the last step i need to do to complete the V2 install. Who here has had there ac line or related parts crack from bending them? Ive decided to go with a custom ac line from a shop here in town so i dont have to deal with bending it.anyone else with custom lines in here? Id like to get a line that had some metal tubing but most places say they can fab one up using rubber.I may just go with the rubber hose setup even though it isnt what i want. Ive had a few friends who were sucessful bending the line and a few break the lines or tweak them bad. what are your guys exerience bending them? Seem line pretty hard pot metal to me..

I bent mine with the help of my dad. It was pretty easy with two of us. One had to hold it while the other gently bent it along the entire length of the curve. You cant just grab ahold and bend it in one spot because that will cause it to split.

im going to give what you say a try out shaun. I just get nervious bending ac lines.. I cant find a shop that will fab up a custom line with metal tubing in it only ones that will make a line out of hose and ive heard this isnt as good of an idea with all the pressure in the 134 system compaired to a steel or aluminum line. Tomarrow after work i will evac the ac system and get a buddy at work to hold the line while i bend and hopefully we will not break it in the process.Think disconecting the line completely would be of any benifit in bending? Brian

not a problem i have an ac machine at work :D Ill just have to fugure out how much i need to bend . honestly it looks like it needs to move a good 3 or so inchs. thats a chit load
