i am interested in putting a Vortech charger on my mustang and i know what i need to do as far as tunning goes im just looking for input and thoughts from you guys on putting it on a 5.0 with 10.1 compession keep in mind i do not want to run more than 5psi. is it a good idea? is it gonna last? type of fuel (octane) i should use? my Fuel system and engine managment sys can handle it but how long will the motor??? any thoughts or ideas would be awsome!!

you will probably be ok at just 5 psi. I would always run 93 pump gas & maybe look into meth injection. Do you have a tuner? You might want to look into a way to retard timing either with a tuner, ignition box or manually. Im trying to do a turbo setup right now so one of the super charger guys on here will probably have better info

i have a PMS system in place so i am able to control the timming

well if you have a PMS keep the afr's around 11.5 and be conservative on total timing and i dont see why the engine wouldnt be able to survive on pump gas

pump gas and meth injection... keep the air fuels around 11.5ish. that should let you run some good boost levels and normalish timing.
