there have been a couple threads recently that had me curious...whats the difference between the v-1 and v-2 head units. also what is the difference between the s, sc, sq, and the t-trim ,as well as the other trim levels.

getting closer to buying a blower so i thought it'd be helpful to know.

also is the novi 1000 still available new, i can't seem to find it.

The V-1 is a straight cut gear, older technology, the V-2 is a helical cut gear, known as the quiet blower (although you can still hear a small amount of gear whine), these are more efficent, stronger.

As far as the "letter" goes it is the size for a Vortech the base kit is a SC trim (replaced the A-trim about 4 years ago), the the S, SQ, T, Y, YS, YSi, X, XX, Z as far as the popular sizes. Once you get into the Y+ they are considered Mondo blowers and use a different bracketry. The SC-T use the same brackets.....
