ok i need some help i currently am running a paxton sn-89 which puts out like 5-6 pounds of boost definatly made a huge diffrence but im ready to upgrade, well i've been looking at the vortech S trim but i see 2 diffrent models that seem nearly the same one is the V 1 S trim 8-10 pounds and you have to run oil lines, the other would be the V 3 Si trim 8-10 pounds but its self contained there isnt any oil lines to run...has anyone ever run the v3 si trim because this is the first i've heard of it i always thought all vortechs u had to run the oil lines

That is a newer model. I had good luck with the S trim when I ran one on my car. Made good power and was fun to drive. I THINK I read on hear not long ago about someone running the Si model, if so that person will chime in I would think.

k thanks i would like to go with the v3si trim just so i dont have to run oil lines and drill the oil pan, but i've always thought that the self contained ones create more heat

The Si trim has the capability to flow a lot more air than the V1 or V2 S trim. They're within 50 CFM of the T trim actually. Check out this thread on Corral, it talks about the Si trim and what it's capable of:

so is the si trim a better buy because both kits are the same price and the si trim would b a easier install, do to not having to run oil lines

None of them are really "silent," but only the SQ trim units were the quiet ones, as far as I know.
