Vortech Owners...Drain Hose Question

I just want to make sure..

The drain hose for the Vortech, is that 3/4" or 5/8" ?

I want to splice a heater hose from down below up into the stock hose higher up so I can check for leaks.

Also, HD does NOT have a double-sided 3/4" joining piece in metal...ONLY in Nylon...If the hose if 3/4", can I use a nylon part to join them??

If it is 5/8", I can get the metal joining piece, since HD DOES sell them..

off the top of my head i can't say what size it is but i don't think it willbe aproblem running the nylon it is only a drain .

Problem is it's hard to measure that...Ill try Vortech and do another search on here.

Didn't I measure it for you before? You are in luck b/c the last time I measured it for you I had the blower off for a HG install and I just ripped mine off again last night. I will get you the measurement again. Stand by, Sir.

That hose is ONLY 1/2"??

I thought it was a 3/4 or 5/8

I dont feel like taking off the head unit to replace the ENTIRE hose, so for now, Im just gonna disconnect the stock hose from the oil pan stem, connect a piece of heater hose to it, then cut the stock one about 18" up above, and spice the new heater hose into it using the joiner piece and 2 clamps..If it is INDEED 1/2", I can get that joiner piece in metal.
