Want Stock Gauge & Autometer To Work-(water temp, tried twice)Attn:IWASHMYCAR...kinda

I bought two tees from napa. one for the oil psi and one for the water temp. i installed the one for the oil psi and it works great. so i have my autometer and my stocker both reading. the tee for the water temp wouldnt thread because it kept hitting the fuel injector thats right there. so i returned that to napa, went to lowes and tried another one. that one also hits, not as much, but enough. are there any 'Y' fittings i can use or does anyone have any ideas. im just about out.

Put the autometer sending unit in the stock location and then pull the T stat housing and drill/tap it for the stock sending unit. I bought a t stat housing from pep boys because I cracked mine and it came pre tapped

Theres also a port in the rear lower intake you can use, but it isnt too accurate.

whats the deal with the pep boys t-stat. i dont know if i have the stock or a 180*. how much did it cost and i dont even know where the t-stat is. (dumb question, still new to engine work)

I said T stat housing, not t stat. The housing is what the upper rad hose connects to. It has 2 bolts and the stat is in there. Its a bitch to remove.
