Build Thread Want To Blow 5 Years And $50k On A Foxbody? Step By Step Instructions Inside!

Yup. I was there. Joe was one hell of a character. That was probably like 5-6 years ago, wasn't it?

Wow...that's crazy. This whole time I'm following the thread I never put 2 and 2 together that you were the same person. I realized it when I saw your for sale thread for the BMW projector headlights. I think you had just finished them before we met up.

I had the white 93 gt at the time; guess you gathered that much from my name.
I honestly don't know how long ago that was. I feel like it was more like 7-8 years ago...I think I was still in college and I graduated around 7 years ago.

Sanded down the primer for part of the bay. I didn't think this part would be as labor intensive as it is, but I probably have my crappy spray gun to blame. It didn't exactly spray the smoothest coats. Couldnt get it set right for some reason.

I have some pinholes to fill in and then this thing is off to the painter by the middle of next week at the absolute latest. I'll let him spray a couple more coats of primer in the bay for me. I'm sick of sanding and he will do a better job spraying the primer than I could given the :poo:ty equipment that I have.

Yea, as long as there aren't any delays on my painters end, I should have it back by the first week in December.

While it's in paint, I'll be getting some parts powdercoated and sandblasted. Ill also be cleaning up and detailing the transmission. Also going to have to get my rear end swapped out to 3.27's and start getting that IRS put back together. That's going to be one of the first things to go back in.

So the car is ready to be sent off for paint, but thanks to Hurricane Sandy I'm working 16 hour days until probably Sunday night. I won't be able to drop the car off until next week. Not too excited about that, but it is what it is...

I do like the Second Skin products. I've also had good personal experiences with RAAMaudio's stuff. The guy on this site seems to know his stuff as well and his product is also worth considering.

So, my painter can't take the car until later next week. He was out of power for 3 days due to the hurricane, and also is real busy from repairing cars that have been damaged from Sandy. It's also cold out now, so he has to keep all the cars inside the shop so space is limited.

Anyways, although there is nothing to do on the body, I did detail the transmission today.

Little do you know Noobz, that is actually a shop rag disguised as a sock. Fooled again...

Mike, the transmission is from Modular Mustang Racing. It's a beefed up TKO-500. Good to 750HP. A beefed up TKO-600 would be a better choice for the turbo setup, but I've had this transmission for about 5 years and it only has 1100 miles on it. It was just oxidized like crazy and all the bolts had surface rust on them, so I gave it some TLC.
