want to put 2005 fan in 1991 5.0

i was wonderinf if any of you guys have tried putting a 2005 or06 electric cooling fan in a 1991 5.0 lx. i need to put a larger fan in place cause the trans cooler is pretty large and it wont cool down in traffic.thanks for the help..the only reason i ask is because i have acess to one thanks

It's a neat idea. I cant help but if you can, post up dimensions and such. I dont see why it wouldnt work, unless packaging sucks.

Or a little fan for the cooler might help. I need to hit the motorcycle J/Y and see how small fans are on some of the bikes (since dedicated trans cooler fans are stupid expensive).

If you can physically fit it then it will work

its the same size as the rad.and it will clear with no problem looks like we will just have to make new monting holes and relocate the overflow. just going to let it work when i through the switch. had thought about a trans fan also like you mentioned. the cooler is half the size of the rad. so thats where the problem came in thanks for the help guys any othe ideas just let me know
