Warning light?

So latley I have noticed this light coming on that looks like a radiator with a fan in the middle on the far right bottom of the instrument cluster. I believe it has something to do with the coolant level or temp, not sure, dont have a owners manual. Anyway its been coming on and off, comes on for 10-15 sec and then goes off for a while and then comes back on again. The car has fresh coolant in it and the car runs cool. It did this with my old motor and now it does it with the new motor. Should I be concerned with this or is there a bad sensor somewhere or is there a problem with the light itself? Thanks

Two things. Check the overflow tank to see if the coolant is at its proper level because the sensor actually floats in it, they usually do not go bad, but sometimes they do, due to a dirty tank. And second if its a proper level when it is cold, then the sensor needs to be replaced so you do not get that light on your dash. Hope that helps!

Ok, am I taking a chance of hurting the car driving it like this if it is indeed a sensor?
