Warranty safe, easy way to add a few more hp?

Well, being that its spring time and my Stang should be here in less than two weeks I'm getting that itch to add a little more. Since I ended up putting 20" rims on the car I'd like to add a few more horse to balance out the loss in performance due to the larger wheels.

That being said I really don't want to have any warranty issues and would like something pretty simple to install, does anyone have any suggestions? I was looking at the AFE 2005 GT Cold Air System, it looks great, and has the easy of use that I'm looking for but it does seem a little pricey, what do you guys think?

Is an intake the best way to go to get some extra hp? In due time I'd like to add either the RK sport hood (Cali dreaming) or the saleen hood, both of them have some type of vent to let more air in, are there any kits that would take advantage of either hood?

Anyone else have any suggestions on stuff to add that won't cause me any grief with warranties and the dealership and thats easy to install?

Hi, Matty..I was also considering the AFE system as well, However I also agree that its a bit too expensive for just an additional 10-12 Hp. If you're concerned about warranty issues, there are quite a few other CAI kits that don't require tunning, such as, K&N, S&B, AIRAID, BBK, MRT, which stands for Mustang Racing Technologies, there's also Anderson Ford Motorsport and Granatelli Motorsports who both include a recalibrated MAF sensor, with their intake kits, they also claim that no additional tuning is required.. So there you have it, check out each of thier websites, do some research and I'm sure that you'll find the right CAI, that best fits you're particular application needs.. Anyway, hope this helps out...Good Luck

CAI and gears, best bang for the buck. A hand tuner is also a great addition. Some are saying that the dealer can tell that you have re-flashed the computer even after re-flashing back to factory settings. Drag radials for traction.
