Washed and waxed the Fox today.

So it wasnt too bad of a day, so I took the Fox out for a nice wash and wax (Turtle Wax ICE Car Wash & Turtle Wax ICE Liquid Wax)

I dont think that was a good idea man, it looks great, I believe your supposed to wait 60 to 90 days to wax a freshly painted car. Only hand washes and soft soap and warm water.

Really? I asked the painters and the owner of the shop I got it painted at, and they said it would be fine by now.

The car was painted about 2 weeks ago, so It should have cured by now?

Yea dont wax it yet. Paint takes about 3 months to fully cure. You can probably still dig your fingernails into the clear now. Leave the paint alone for the next couple of months. Wax is just going to seal the surface and the paint wont be able breathe out and the solvents will get trapped in the paint and dull it out.

when they bake it they usually will say to wait 2 weeks or so.

Last time I painted my car, I let it "bake" by letting it sit out in the open. Black paint + Arizona summer sun = free "baking."

I restore cars for a living and have an associates degree in Collision Repair. Trust me, it takes a good 3 months for paint to fully harden, baked or not. No need to wax it, the paint will shine for a long time until it needs waxing.
