water pump/ radiator / hose problem

ok i bought a new 3 row radiator from NPD. the guys said it woiuld work with my 67 coupe with a 302. but the problem i am having is that my 88 302 water pump spout is running out the driver side of the car. but i need one that runs out the passenger side of the car. because since it is on the driver side of the car the hose and fan kinda conflict with each other. so does any one have the same or similaer setup as me and know how to fix this problem. or know where i can get a water pump that will work wit my setup. my radiator has both of the n ozzels for the hoses to connect to on the same side which is on the passenger side. any help would be great thanks

Stock 67s have both inlet/return on the passenger side.

NPD Catalog Number is 8005-1L
They may have sent you 8005-1R

It seems backwards in the catalog since it states the 8005-1L has both inlet/outlet on the right hand side. The 8005-1R has a RH inlet and a LH outlet.

Check your part number and give NPD a call. They should send you the right part. And make sure if the wrong one was sent, they should pick up the return shipping charges and restocking fee.

ok i dont think i was clear enough i think i confused a few people. ok here goes if you are in front of the car with the hood up and looking down over the engine. you look at the water pump and the spout is on your right side. and both of my radiator necks are on my left side. the problem i have is that the water pump spout is on the right side and the radiators is ont he left side and i cant buy a hose that is fit for that. i do have the 5.0 reverse rotation water pump but i cant find a hose to work with what i need. i need one that runs down and clears the fan and the harmonic balencer and connect to the left side of the radiator. and as far as the pic one guy had in a post that is the radiator i have.. or atleast looks just like it any ways

the 70 rad has the outlet on the left,(drivers side).

It sounds like a '67-'70 390/428 radiator is what you need. My '68's water pump also has the later exit, and that 390 radiator has the outlet on the proper side.

Check out a fan shroud for a 390/428. You'll notice that the outlet is on the other side from a 289, plus it is also 24" wide like a 289 with AC.

Anyway, I've got a 390 4 row in my '68 and it fits fine with my 302. I don't know if you'll need another top radiator mounting bracket or not though.

IF you find you want to use the existing rad and the existing W/P you can use a straight piece of copper pipe to cross under the fan to the oposite side, and use hose on the 2 ends. I've done this on hotrods before for people and it generally works out fine.

ehy worth i think i am going to use the radiator i have.. its brand new. just bought it a few days ago from NPD for 270.00 shipped. and thanks for the copper pipe idea. so i should get a piece of that in the diamiter i need and lenth, and get 2 elbo hoses to fit my radiator and w/p . along with some clamps. did i miss anything?
