Water temp. How hot is too hot?

I didn't check to see if you have an automatic trans but the Northern brand radiators are actually cheaper than stock replacement 4 rows. One without the trans cooler can be had for $180 (summit house brand is Northern). See my post and picture a few posts down about someone choosing an aluminum radiator. This is in my 70 mach with the 351w
Very nice. Did you have to completely remove the battery tray?

Well it interfered with the battery tray about 1/2" or less with the radiator shoved against the drivers side frame rail. I could have trimmed the battery tray but was looking for a good excuse to move the battery and solenoid to the trunk. I'll share a trick i did when i moved the battery to the trunk. The original battery tray has the angled support piece that bolts just above the frame rail. That support is spot welded in two spots to the actual tray. My tray was a new repro piece so i drilled the spot welds out and used that tray and bolted it down to the trunk floor on the drivers side. This way i could still use the stock battery holddowns that came with the repro tray. A sealed battery (optima) was used in the trunk, otherwise a vented box would be needed due to the fumes from the stock type battery.
