well aint this some crap if i aint ever seen any. i took the 89 for a little testdrive with the new radiator fans. the other day it idled for over 30 minutes and stayed at 185. now going down the road it gets up to 231. i used fans off of different cars. not sure where one came from but it pulls a lot of air but is not shrouded. the other one came from an 82 subaru wagon and it is shrouded. it too pulls a lot of air. i could not fit the stock shroud over both of them like i wanted too.now i have a little 90 f150's radiator. it is the same width as the stock mustang one but it is longer. i did have a 3 core from an 82 truck but it broke and this is the only one i have for now. the block is bored 0.60 over and i know i asked for it. i have no thermo now since the small radiator install. i know averheating is 270 and i am not that worried but would a 2 core aluminum radiator help me lower the temps. what else can i do. i live in texas and it is very hot today

Well if your car gets hot at highway speeds, signs always point to the radiator. Do plenty of flush jobs to first make sure you don't have a blockage in your system. Then check your radiator to see if any of the core busted (usually a discoloration like greenich in color on the fins). Than if it still doesn't solve the problem, go for a good aluminum radiator - they work VERY well. Also, 3 core aluminum radiators are generally not needed because these things cool that good.
