If I remember correctly, I think you have to switch the tail assemblies out.

Are you planning on doing all the work for this swap yourself?

What's it out of? 99 Mustangs had T45's, which won't fit a 5.0.

Crossmember section is different for sure. That won't bolt toma fox crossmember. You might have to swap the tail housing section to fit it unless you do some custommwork for the crossmember.

shouldint be too bad to fab something up, i have a dobbs at my disposal to do the swap... im just unsure o the gauge set up...im thinking of swapping out to a florida 5.0 setup, would that take care of the problem, or is there a way to keep my stock setup with the electric speedo sensor, also got the wire harness that went with this t5 if that does anything for me...

I thought you had to switch the tail housing like someone previously said. Sounds pretty simple and could be potentially cheaper. People down here want 350-400 for a good 5.0 wc t5. I wouldnt be surprised if I went to a junkyard and said "hey I need a trans for a v6" and get it for less money. I have a double hump crossmember if you need one.

sorry for my lack of knowladge on this, and i really appreciate all the help from everyone! @lawbreaker, so i just need the tailhousing from a wct5 and everything will just fit together the same? i could probably use the crossmember if you dont have any use... how much, and where are you located? anyone with any other parts for this conversion laying around? im gonna hit the junk yards starting as soon as it stops raining here in stl!

Prob is the tail housing you need is One off a later t5 with a reverse synch. I believe this started is 1993.

Basically you need a 94-95 t5 taikhousing

Alright I just talked to him. I'll send you a pm a little later it won't allow me to on my phone.

To those that want to know. All you have to do is use a die grinder to drill a hole in the mainshaft where the clip goes. The newer main shafts do not have the hole. They are machined for the plastic gear and will slip on but in Order to hold it in place you have to drill the hole.

EDIT: So to make it work buy/find any t5 tailshaft housing with hole for speedo gear, plastic gear, the clip, and drill the hole.
