Hey guys, my brother is working on starting his own business and wants to start up a website. He wanted me to check out possible ISP hosts. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any information on this. I know that he wants it to support a shopping cart/shopping. Also, possibly a forum function. I was looking at yahoo as one option as well as hostmonster. Some people told me to go with godaddy but one of my business professors said he had nothing but problems with them. I will probably ask more of my professors but figured I would see if anyone here had any experience with different hosts. Does anyone know what host stangnet uses? Anyways, any help would be appreciated, thanks

As for names, it really doesn't matter who you buy a name from. I buy from GoDaddy.

As for hosting you can start with a shared box.

www.site5.com is the cheapest I've found and they have spectacular service.

If you need a dedicated box, go with www.branzone.com

Oh, and we run a dedicated setup here. See the BranZone footer image on the homepage.

Anyone else?? I'm considering these: hostmonster.com, yahoo!, bluehost, and branzone.

Hostmonster is one of the top hosts but I have read a few negative things. Yahoo is more expensive but its yahoo and they submit your sight to yahoo/google search. But yahoo seems to lack some services the others offer, i dont know. Other opinions?
