Weird Missfire

ok its a 1986 just put new intake gaskets and now i have 4 dead Cyl.

Im thinking its a standard firing order.

1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8

i have 1- -4- -6- -7-
no -5- -2- -3- -8

I wiggled the wires on the salt and pepper shakers and it didnt do anything, did i pull a ground off or somthing?

If i do the HO firing order it sounds like it is 180 out (pop's threw exaust)

You should have a HO firing order if this is the original 1986 engine. Do you think it's been swapped out?

well after googling it i guess all roller motors are HO

So i guess i will try it again tomorrow. Is it just like any other car when stabing the dist.? Is there anything special i need to be doing?

Verify piston #1 is at the top (first cylinder on pass side), and stab the dist with the rotor pointing to #1.

Just need ot make sure you stab it in a location that allows you to rotate the dist enough to set timing correctly without hitting the intake.
